ADRAD Dominates at Australia's Toughest Race

Posted November 25, 2009

Motorsport enthusiasts will have watched the 2009 Bathurst 1000 V8 Supercar race with keen interest and Holden fans will be delighted by the "full podium" result. We can reveal that ADRAD also achieved a "full podium" result at the event.

The first place TOLL/HRT Commodore driven by Tander & Davison, second place Team BOC (BJR) Commodore driven by Richards & McConville and third place GRM Commodore driven by Holdsworth & Caruso ALL ran with ADRAD performance radiator cores produced at our Currumbin plant.

In fact, around half the field of V8 Supercars at Bathurst were running ADRAD radiators. Darren Duncan has been working with a number of race teams, supporting existing customers and convincing others to adopt our product. HRT recently decided to fit ADRAD radiators for the longer "endurance" races such as Phillip Island and Bathurst and claimed victory at both events. With millions of dollars worth of machinery at stake, it's notable that so many choose ADRAD products to protect their engines and maximise their chances of winning.

Masterful Effort Earns Podium

Posted November 18, 2009

Trevor Green would like to thank the generous support of his 2009-10 sponsors:
Adrad Radiators, freightmaster semi-trailers, maxwill racing engines, cool chassis, weld racing wheels, butler built, protec, gilbert event management, the truck factory, steve wicks and sons, treble, br motor sports, vin's mini buses, green welding.

A solid performance in his new #S4 Adrad Cool earned Trevor Green second place in the Australian Masters event held at Speedway City on November 7.

After starting the 35-lap feature event from the outside of the front row, Green survived a number of stoppages and a dry and dusty track to finish behind the inform David Murcott and claim second spot in the Masters event for a second successive season.

After suffering a few teething problems in the debut of his new car at the previous meeting, Green displayed he was right on the pace in the chase to add to his previous Australian Masters victory in 1998 by setting the fastest time trial performance.

Unofficially clocking the fastest effort in hot laps, Green showed his new mount had plenty of speed by emerging from the time trials having stopped the watch at 12.058 seconds to set quick time.

The Two Wells charger continued to impress in the eight-lap heat races, bolting away from pole position to win the opening heat, before turning in a determined run from the back of the field in his second heat, which included a typically gutsy high line pass on the final corner to claim third place.

On a track which became slicker on the pole line, Green was pipped on the closing lap of the Top 6 dash event, by Jamie Cobby who earned pole position for the Masters final.

A great start from the outside shot Green into the lead of the feature event which he maintained until a series of stoppages bunched the field up, forcing him to rebuild his earlier advantage once again.

The growing abrasive track surface began to take a toll on Green's tyres and speed and mid race Murcott seized a chance to slip through into the lead.

While temporarily dropping back to third, Green battled on to reclaim second before holding out Cobby over the closing laps to cross the line in second spot.

Post race Green was reasonably positive considering it was just the second outing for the new chassis.

"The car felt pretty good and certainly we learnt a bit more out there tonight, there certainly is an unknown quantity that we will develop more over the coming season" said Green.

"We certainly had plenty of pace and maybe I went a bit hard early, given the way the track went, but overall there were certainly plenty of positives."

The Masters event marked Green's final home town appearance before heading east with American crew man Brandon Inkenberry to take up his spot as a contracted driver on the 2009-10 World Series Sprintcar trail.

Prior to opening WSS round in Brisbane on November 21, Green will compete at Parramatta on November 14, driving a car for Barry Lewis.

Having finished fourth in the final WSS rankings over the past two seasons, Green is confident of yet another competitive campaign.

"Despite the late arrival of some gear from the US, I think we are pretty well prepared ... everything is in place and with the further development of the car, we can only get better" noted Green.

"The competition in WSS certainly gets harder and harder and the equipment better, so we just have to put ourselves in a position to also raise the bar and I think we are probably in the best position we have been for a while to give the series a real good crack."

Having run second at nine major meetings last season, Trevor Green is aiming towards taking a further step up the podium in what promises to be a hectic racing campaign over the coming months.
